Part Time Nanny/Household Assistant – Reston, VA A family in Reston, VA 20194 is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nanny/Household Assistant to care for their almost 8 year old son. The family is looking for a dependable and nurturing individual to assist with daily care and household support. Schedule: Start date: ASAP Monday through Friday 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM (22.5 hours/week) Family Specifications: Smoke-free home  The family does have a friendly, hypoallergenic dog Responsibilities: Provide attentive, engaging care for the child.  Handle daily needs including possible homework help, light food prep and providing snacks and meals.   Light housekeeping related to the child's care throughout the day   Transporting child home from school, and to and from activities and appointments as needed.  When not caregiving, responsible for running errands for the family, putting away laundry once delivered back home, coordinating home maintenance and being present for providers to complete services. Requirements:  3+ years of prior experience working with children or in Household Management   Current CPR and First Aid certifications required (or willing to complete)   Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, registration, and proof of insurance required Compensation: $28–$32 per hour ( Payment made via standard payroll ) Standard IRS mileage reimbursement for any driving on the job (activities, errands, practices).  Paid major federal holidays that fall on scheduled weekdays; 1 week (22.5 hours) of paid time off/sick leave per year All candidates will be subject to a background check.
