Job Summary: Panelmatic is seeking a reliable and organized Expeditor to support production by ensuring the timely availability and movement of materials, parts, components, and supplies throughout the manufacturing process. The Parts Expeditor will work closely with Production, Purchasing, Materials, Warehouse, and other departments to identify shortages, track outstanding materials, and prevent production delays. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly identify and resolve material-related issues. Job Duties: Monitor production requirements and identify parts, materials, and components needed to keep jobs moving Track material shortages and communicate potential production delays to appropriate personnel Coordinate with Purchasing and Materials teams to obtain outstanding parts and materials Follow up on purchase orders, backordered items, and delayed materials Expedite the delivery of critical parts and materials when necessary Work with Production Supervisors and Leads to identify immediate material needs Deliver or coordinate the movement of parts and materials to the appropriate work areas Verify that received materials and components are properly identified and delivered to the correct department or job Assist with locating missing, misplaced, or delayed parts Maintain accurate records of material shortages, expected delivery dates, and outstanding items Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock or critical material concerns Assist with organizing and maintaining staging areas to ensure materials are readily accessible Review work orders, bills of materials, drawings, and production documentation to identify required components Coordinate with Warehouse and Shipping/Receiving personnel regarding incoming and outgoing materials Communicate changes in production priorities and material requirements to affected departments Identify recurring material shortages or process issues and communicate them to department leadership Assist with resolving discrepancies between production requirements, inventory records, and available materials Prioritize urgent requests based on production schedules and customer deadlines Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all company safety policies and procedures Perform other related duties as assigned Requirements Previous experience in manufacturing, production, materials, warehouse, purchasing, or a related environment preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize multiple requests and changing production needs Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to identify problems and proactively seek solutions Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory or production management systems Ability to read and understand work orders, part numbers, and basic production documentation Ability to work effectively with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, and other departments Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with leadership Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a custom manufacturing or fabrication environment Experience with inventory management or ERP/MRP systems Previous experience expediting parts, materials, or purchase orders Familiarity with electrical control panels, sheet metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, or industrial manufacturing Experience working with bills of materials (BOMs), work orders, or production schedules Forklift experience or certification is a plus Benefits Medical, dental, vision, HSA, term life, AD&D, STD, LTD   100% medical premium paid by Panelmatic for employee-only coverage.   80% Panelmatic-paid / 20% employee-paid dependent coverage.   401(k) contributions matched 100% up to 4%.   Scholarships, educational reimbursement, paid volunteerism, and professional development   PTO and paid holidays   Career advancement opportunities   Competitive wages   Family-friendly environment with average employee tenure above five years
