Join a team where your expertise is valued, your growth is supported, and your work helps maintain and enhance the critical infrastructure that powers communities across the nation.   Position Summary The CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport equipment, materials, tools, and supplies to and from job sites, facilities, and customer locations. This role ensures timely deliveries, compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and proper vehicle maintenance while supporting field operations and project schedules. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and professional manner. Transport equipment, materials, and supplies to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections. Maintain accurate driver logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation. Ensure compliance with DOT, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and company safety regulations. Secure loads properly and verify cargo is transported safely. Load and unload materials, equipment, and tools as required. Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and project personnel regarding delivery schedules and route updates. Monitor vehicle performance and report maintenance or repair needs promptly. Assist with warehouse, yard, and material handling activities when not driving. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work environment. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and toolbox talks. Qualifications Required Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Current DOT Medical Card. Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices. Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Preferred Previous experience transporting construction, industrial, utility, or pipeline equipment. Experience operating trailers, flatbeds, lowboys, or specialized hauling equipment. Forklift, crane, or heavy equipment operating experience. CDL endorsements such as Tanker, Hazmat, or Doubles/Triples, as applicable. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to climb in and out of commercial vehicles and trailers. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to sit for extended periods while driving. Ability to perform physical labor associated with loading and unloading materials. Work Environment Frequent travel to project sites, customer locations, and company facilities. Exposure to construction, industrial, utility, and pipeline job site conditions. May require overtime, weekends, overnight travel, or on-call availability based on business needs.
