Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Assistant. The Facilities Assistant plays a critical role in keeping our veterinary hospital clean, safe, and welcoming for patients, guests, and team. This position is responsible for daily cleaning and sanitation of the hospital and surrounding grounds, while supporting infection control standards and basic facility upkeep. Essential Functions: Performs daily cleaning duties to ensure the hospital is clean, odor-free, and presents a professional and welcoming environment. Maintain strict sanitation protocols to ensure biosecurity and minimize nosocomial infections. Work with the Hospital Director to perform periodic infectious disease surveillance of the hospital. Cleans and sanitizes all common areas, including lobbies, exam rooms, treatment areas, bathrooms, and staff spaces. Maintains cleanliness of all floors through regular vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping. Cleans windows, glass doors, and reflective surfaces to maintain a polished appearance. Washes dishes and maintains cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and breakroom areas. Handles hospital laundry throughout shifts, including washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and towels. Collects and disposes of trash throughout the hospital, ensuring proper waste management and sanitation. Maintains cleanliness of exterior areas, including sweeping walkways, removing debris, and tidying the parking lot. Monitors and restocks janitorial and cleaning supplies as needed, in coordination with the Inventory Manager. Assists with minor maintenance tasks such as assembling furniture, hanging wall art, or performing light repairs. Reports facility or equipment issues promptly to leadership for repair or resolution. Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned by leadership. Maintains a professional, positive, and service-oriented attitude in all interactions with team members and clients. Requirements Willingness and ability to learn proper cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation protocols specific to a veterinary hospital environment.
