The Village Veterinarian in Chelan, WA, is seeking a reliable and hardworking, full-time Kennel Technician to join our team. Benefits package that includes health insurance and paid time off. Requirements Responsibilities: Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, runs, and other animal housing areas. Keep laundry, dishes, and shared spaces clean, organized, and continuously running on schedule. Fully restock supplies in exam rooms, treatment areas, and around the clinic throughout the day. Monitor cleaning and animal-care supply levels and flag the team when inventory is low. Walk, feed, and monitor pets in our care as needed during the day, noting any changes to the medical team. Help move patients safely between kennels, runs, cages, and exam or treatment rooms. Step in to help restrain animals during basic handling while appointments and surgeries are running, as needed. Keep indoor and outdoor areas (break rooms, office, lobby, exam rooms, yards/runs) clean, secure and presentable. Follow all clinic safety and sanitation protocols. Qualifications: Experience with animals a plus--farm hands, house cleaners with animal-handling experience, and those with similar backgrounds are encouraged to apply Comfortable and confident handling dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments. Passion and empathy for animals, and a commitment to promoting animal health.Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented. Able to safely lift approximately 50 lbs and remain on your feet for a full shift. High school diploma or equivalent; further education in animal care preferred.
